The resort is approximately 2.5 hours drive from Sandakan and has the most enviable location. Comprises 15 rooms with each room is hewn and hand-crafted by local tradesman using the Borneo Iron Wood – a rare timber tree native to the Borneo and are exquisitely designed and decorated with local materials to blend harmoniously into the natural landscape of the rainforest.Nestled along the bank of the Kinabatangan River, the resort is surrounded by quaint local village that provides a unique "close to nature" experience with plenty of opportunities for river cruise, jungle trekking, stroll through traditional villages and chance to see the proboscis monkeys, the orang utan, pygmy elephants, the oriental darter, hornbills, kingfishers and many living in their natural habitat.It is a haven for nature lovers and for those who need to retreat into nature, to recharge and to escape to a different reality. With the unique and classic ethnic room designed resembling the typical and traditional village house, the resort rests on the 4ft wooden stilts rising within the nature forest with the cottages scattered among the ancient trees and linked by series of boardwalk with each room comes with its own balcony. It is truly a great escape to enjoy the sounds of nature at its finest.
TOUR PROGRAM
1230 hours pm pick up from respective hotel in Sandakan to the Borneo Nature Resort by Land, Kinabatangan River. Upon arrival, refreshment will be served followed by briefing featuring the overview of the resort routes and Safety. Check in. At1600 hours, afternoon river cruise in search of wildlife that is so prevalent in the area – a good chance to see proboscis monkey, orang utan, pygmy elephants, birds and other wildlife. Return to resort. Dinner will be served at the lodge.
After dinner and subject to weather conditions, follow our guide for a night walk at 2030 hours in search of nocturnal mammals. Return to and overnight at the Borneo Natural Resort.

0600 hours Rise early for "Misty Kinabatangan River Cruise". Breakfast is served at the lodge. After breakfast, 0830 hours depart lodge and a journey return to Sandakan. Drop off at the hotel.

Confortable walking shoes, change of clothes, insect repellent, swimwear, sunglasses, sunblock, hat or cap, raincoat or umbrella, own drinking bottle and first aid kit.

- Pickup service will be provided from the hotel/hostel/lodge that you are staying. Please wait at lobby while the tour guide will find you when he/she arrive. Dropoff service will be provided after travelling, please notify us upon booking if your drop off location is different from pickup location.
- No compulsory tips (If you are happy and satisfied with the journey and the tour guide service, it's always a nice way to express your appreciation with tipping, OR words of thanks is good enough).

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY',
- Over 14 days (From date of departure) charge 30% of Tour fare.
- 7 days (From date of departure) charge 50% of tour fare.
- Less than 7 days (From date of departure) charge full tour fare.
- No refund for those tours which involve accommodation.

- After your tour booking is confirmed and successful, an email or messages notification will send to you together with the tour confirmation, payment in full settlement shall be make within the payment time limit specified in the itinerary confirmation letter. Failure to pay the full amount beyond the payment time limit, your tour booking will be deemed invalid and automatically cancelled.
- Majestic Leisure & Tours Sdn Bhd reserves the right to alter routes, timetables, itineraries and accommodation reserved should conditions beyond our control render it necessary.
- Every person participates in any tour or holiday organized by Majestic Leisure & Tours Sdn Bhd shall be regarded in every respect as carrying his / her own risk with respect to loss or injury to person or property. Majestic Leisure & Tours Sdn Bhd does not accept responsibility for losses or expenses due to delay, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine or other travelers.
